About Greenville Cooperative
Greenville Cooperative Gas Company had its first organizational meeting on March 20, 1931. Here is where the first committee of the company was appointed and Greenville Cooperative Gas Company was incorporated for $2000. As the years went on, Greenville Coop started to aquire more aspects to the company including a grocery store, lumber yard, feed mill, fertilizer, hardware store, and automotive shop. Although the grocery store and lumber yard aren't around anymore, Greenville Cooperative is still the premier provider of agricultural products to Northeastern Wisconsin.
OWNED BY YOU
As an agriculture cooperative, we are owned and controlled by the member/patrons that work together for the common good of the community. Profits from the coop are returned to its member/patrons in proportion to the amount of patronage. Every year since its start, Greenville Cooperative has paid out dividends to its member/patrons except in 1948 when Greenville Coop had a devastating fire. Through the hard work and dedication of our previous and current employees, we are proud to say that we have paid out dividends to our patrons, even during diffcult encomonic times. Our patrons have the peace of mind that our experienced management team, as well as the board of directors, are making decisions that will benefit the coop and its patrons in the future.
Greenville Coop has been able to exceed member/patron expectations by providing exceptional service at reasonable prices. Our dedicated staff is here to ensure that your farm, home or business is operating at its most efficient state. Please stop by or call us to see what we have to offer for you!
